I'm really embarassed, because I almost forgot about this blog.

Ah, now I remember our Chimpanzee.
Even in GLPS, which is really hard and difficult to participate well, Chimpanzee was left out in the cold by us.

Dear Sherlock in 2011
Hello, Sherlock.
 I feel nice that I can send you a letter.
I have lots of advices to you.
I'm  only 1 year older than you, but there is some differences between fifth grade and sixth grade, so please concentrate on me.

I know that your classmates are not so great.
In fact, you didn't satisfy of your class, huh?
But don't be stupid, because in sixth grade, you will get the best class.
Girls and boys both are great.
No more accidents like that...

And for studying, please just concentrate when you taking the exam.
I got 'all one hundred' in this semesters exam.
I felt great, but...
I didn't prepare for it like when I studyed last year.
So you should remind yourself that half of your score is concluded by concentration.

How about your teacher?
Also, your sixth grade's teacher is great.
Please don't be disappointed by your teacher, dear.
She did her best, though to result wasn't so good.

Finally, I want to talk about parents.
I think this is the most important part, so listen carefully.
They are really good, and they always think about you.
When your mom shouts at you, there is some reasons.
She always try to not to be angry and give you some warnings.
So try to read her mind and do not be stupid.
For you dad, it's even more difficult than you mom.
Mom explains her feelings easily, but father just give warnings and be calm.
When you did really bad thing, he doesn't shout.
He just looks at you thinkfully.
You know that it is more scary...
And when he shouts, he looks like he is mad.

So when you are doing something, please think about its result.
What will happen when you act like this?
Be careful, dear.
They cannot take care of you forever.

Chain story- chimpanzee story

Once upon a time, there was some ghost stories. It was about a chimpanzee ghost. It was famous for such scary, cruel ghost. Even there were someone that they saw the ghost.

One day, a girl heard this story from her friend. It was about a chimpanzee's spirit. After a chimpanzee died, the chimoanzee became ghost. People in that town all lived with scary.But they were really stupid so they had no ideas how to solve this problem. But that girl was different. She was clever. Everyone in that town ignored her words that she will help. But she was so kind, so she wrote the story in her diary and hide it inside her house. And she left some signs of it, and then she escaped from that town. She was able to feel the danger of the chimpanzee. Hundreds years later, some brave guys launched a trip to a town which is famous for furious chimpanzee. Their name was mr.Choi, Percy and James. They were interested in that town's history, so they wandered around the town. When they approached at the girl's house, they found some signs. The final point of the signs were-her diary. They picked it up and read it. It was such unbelievable story to them, but they trusted the girl. They carried their bags and went to the forest, because she explained so. It was hard to think that there is an animal ghost, but anyway they started to go. They explored the forest looking for the chimpanzee ghost. When they reached at the middle of the forest, they could find a chimp. It wasn't a ghost- it was an alive chimpanzee. It was such ugly chimpanzee that they thought it's a monster. Anyway, they threw a net to the chimpanzee. It was really hard to fight. The chimpanzee was so strong. But when mr.Choi appoached to it, it became kind. It was unbelievable, and it should be, but they thought the chimpanzee fell in love with mr.Choi. (even if he really hate it.) It became embarassed, and then he made it to easily. They sold the monster-chimpanzee to a zoo called 'The Dream Zoo', and they called hero. They all lived happy, and proud life.(especially mr.Choi.)

Ode- Dear Africa

Dear Africa.

 You know, I'm really sleepy now, so please relax if this ode isn't funny. Well, if you are wondering about my ode, this is only for you.
In fact, I really envy you. You can carry zebras, giraffes....lots of animals.

 Did you know that my favorite animal is zebra? I love zebras, and a zebra is one of the reasons thatI'm writing an ode to you. I never saw a real zebra in the wild. Is that good? Oh, I'm sorry, of course it should be good.... What does it look like? How is amazing, is it? Splendid? Beautiful?

 You know, I'm studying zebra's patterns. I stared it for long time, and looked for it's patterns. How about your evening glow? I wanted to see your glow since I saw your glow in someone's picture. In fact, if you watched the movie 'The Pirate of Caribbean", you would know about the green light, huh? Well, I'm just joking.

 I respect your wide mind, dear. You have lots of creatures. Ah, I'm so sorry for some bad things that people did to you. Destroying,burning,taking... If I could travel somewhere for long time, I'll visit you, I promise. You can show me the world's most impressive view I've ever seen. I'll take picture of your beauty,I'll record your magnificent view by writing it down.....

 One of my purposes are "Writing some stories about Africa." When I'm done with it, I'll show you. How about starting like this? ' I feel dizzy with this beautiful land. We should respect this. Even if we are exploring to that wide space, I don't have any desire of it. I'm just satisfied with this wonderful view.' So you should prepare for me, dear. I'm expecting you for such wonderful things!

Reflective essay on What adults can learn from kids

I chose the second video, which explains about ‘What adults can learn from kids. I often thought that sometimes kids are better than adults, so I felt sympathy toward this video. Well, if summarize this video's contents, Adora explains us her experiences, examples and the reason why adults can learn from kids, and finally how.  First, I think adults can learn curiosity, imagination, ideas from kids. Most adults' thoughts are limited, but kids' aren't. In my case, my art teacher ordered me to make an artwork which consists of newspaper and paint. It should be a useful artwork like chair, desk... But I made a human-shaped chair, which I named 'Thinking woman' It has no facial expression, but it appears its mind... My art teacher was really surprised of that idea. She recommended every other students to think about much more designs of it, and they achieved many good works.

 Second, adults can learn some kids' purity. Adults often read someone's expression, but kids don't. They express and appear their feeling straightly. I mean like "But it seems not a good idea. How about this?",even if it was some words for older person. Do you think this is rude? If it was adult's words, it should be like this. "Wow, really good idea. In fact, there's an idea which is a little different from yours, but your idea is far more better!" , if it was his boss's idea. I think adults' kindness and polite movements, expressions are good, but sometimes even they can't argue their ideas, their thoughts. In my case, I like being polite, but I explain my thoughts. Kids don't think it is rude or anything. But adults say "How can you argue your thoughts to adults? How rude you are!" I saw many situations like this, and I have experiences like this. Even if I can logically rebut their thoughts, I don't. Because they are older, so they can just say they have more experiences. Then-suddenly I will be a rude girl.

 Third, kids can really enjoy something. This one can be similar to second one, but it is a little different. Kids don't become embarassed of funny things. But even they are laughing, adults often act small and worry about how they will show themselves. In my case, when we were watching a comic video in our classroom, kids all laughed loudly, freely. But only my teacher laughed about three times, trying not to be seen strangely. I never noticed that laughing loudly aren’t such polite movements.

 So my conclusion is that adults can learn something from kids. Adults should respect kids' imagination- which is far more wider than adults'. And adults should resemble kids' purity- and ability of enjoying. Aren't there lots of better things? We should learn from them, more younger kids.

Kony 2012

 When I first saw the video Kony 2012, I felt - he is mad. I couldn't understand his point of view. I was just surprised about the fact that a person like Kony is living on the Earth with me. Such advanced and developed world - but a person like Kony still alive? In fact, there was no time and place for me to watch other video - the view of opposite side of the manufacturer of this video - Kony 2012. I think we should make Kony to a famous person.
 First, I believe the power of the internet. Because it is a best way to show others about your opinion or informations in a short time, it will be a very good way to make him famous. I know almost every famous people are 'good', but I will take the Idol 'T-ara' for the example. T-ara is a very faous Idol all over the world, but now they become a bad and cruel group, and we can say that this is a good example of showing the great power how the internet effects our social lives. A rumor about their bad behavior spread on the internet, and many people could saw many videos and articles in a short time. Like this example, we can make Kony famous for other purpose. People should know him and attack him, so that we can save our children and make less victims. I think making criminals like Kony famous can be a helpful way to attack them.

  Second, we can get many helps from people who got some of the information about Kony. They can volunteer to making him more famous, which can make the thing more easier. More people will know about Kony, be angry and work for us..Some people will be angry about him and they can tell their own opinions to other people. Some people might try to solve the problem for many ways. Volunteers who wants to make Kony more famous might donate some money or do things such as campaigns.

 Third, I think the power of internet let the governments- especially American government notice Kony. When first this video's manufacturer asked the government to help him, they just ignored. But when Kony become famous, they helped him. You know, government should work for something helpful to citizens, but they only do something famous. So internet made government know about Kony. And if government moves, lots of reportters will be inteested in this. So they will publish newspapers about it, write articles....And television. Mass media will help us making Kony famous. Much more generations will be able to see, spread it, people will be angry...All same pattern will be there.

 So my conclusion is that we have to make Kony famous to slove many problems which might happen in the future or save our childern. Like we can make people know what we are doing, and extect some helps from them. There might be many ways to make him famous. First, we can use the internet to make him famous. We can write articles and show the videos to people about Kony and his unbelieveble crimes. It will be the most effective way to make him famous in a short time. Next, we can get some advises form the people who know about him.

History-Superstitious The Saxons

This is my organizations about my second presentation. Hello, everyone? I'm Sherlock. Do you know who the Saxons are? Well, they are almost half of people England. But long time ago, when they called the Saxons, they were really cruel, strange people. First, I want to introduce their funeral. In the early days, before they became Christians, the Saxons would sometimes bury a servant with his or her dead master. The servant would then be able to serve the master in the afterlife. But the horrible historical fact is that the servant was often buried alive! The servant were thrown into the open grave, a heavy stone may have been thrown on top to keep them down and then they were covered with soil. Even dogs were sacrificed to go with their masters to the afterlife. If you are afraid your dead aunt would come and haunt you, here is a guideline. When early Saxons cremated a dead friend they would place a small window in the jar or urn. Then they would leave a small window in the jar. Why? So the spirit could come and go and not make trouble if it found its ashes trapped in a sealed container. Then they you should cut her head off... It'll be hard to haunt you without a head. Thirdly, you can put more than one person in a pot. She will be so busy gossiping to her powdered pal that she will forget to haunt you. Then you can give her jewellery or a sword. Then, you can burn crops to keep ghosts away. It is like using garlics to escape from vampires. When the Saxons first came to Britain they were 'pagans'- they worshipped German gods like Tiw, Woden, Thunor, Frigg. Although the Saxons later converted to being Christians they kept bits of their religion in their religious ceremonies. They were a mixture of Christian and pagan- maybe they believed the Cristian God and the pagan gods would work together for better effect! The Saxons watched out for signs for their weather forecasts- but signs didn't just foertell the weather. It's on the handout's page 4, so you can look at it. Ah, there's an interesting information about the Saxons. Did you ever knowed that some Saxon helmets had a wild pig on top? Of course I meant a little metal model. Why did the Saxon helmets have pigs on it? The pig was sacred to the god of peace. Next time you have a school test, why not try wearing a wild pig on your head?
